Introduction to Expert Work Types

OnFrontiers offers several engagement types depending on the depth of help you need:

1. Video consultations (30–60 min)

The most common engagement. Schedule a focused conversation with a vetted expert. Use cases: validating a hypothesis, getting a quick read on a market or program, briefings before a meeting with a customer or agency.

2. Opportunity calls (typically 15–30 min, unpaid for the expert)

Lower-stakes intros that let both sides decide whether a longer engagement makes sense. Useful when you're scoping a project and aren't yet sure which experts to invest in.

3. Written responses

A structured Q&A delivered in writing. Useful when the questions are well-defined and a back-and-forth conversation isn't necessary. Faster turnaround than scheduling a call, and easier to share with a team.

4. Scoped engagemnt

Multi-session engagements that may include calls, written work product, and deliverables. These typically start with an opportunity call to define scope. Pricing is set per project.

Each engagement type has its own setup flow and pricing. The OnFrontiers team will help you pick the right one for your question — when in doubt, start with a 60-minute consultation.
