How do I get paid as an OnFrontiers Expert?
OnFrontiers pays you through Stripe Connect. Complete Stripe Connect onboarding once, and your earnings are transferred to the account you connect. OnFrontiers does not need to hold your bank details itself.
If you registered as an expert before August 11, 2026, the updated Expert Participation Agreement begins to apply to your work on September 1, 2026, or earlier if you accept it when you next sign in. Work you accept before then remains governed by the agreement in effect at the time you accepted it.
Before you start
Complete Stripe Connect onboarding, including any identity and tax information Stripe or OnFrontiers requires. Payment cannot be released until that is done. If you are outside the United States, you may also need to provide tax documentation appropriate to your country.
How payment reaches you
Amounts due are transferred to your connected Stripe account. You can request payment of available amounts at any time by emailing hello@onfrontiers.com.
When to expect it
Your first payout is subject to a Stripe-imposed waiting period of 7 to 14 days from your first earned payment before funds are released. After that first payout, payments follow the standard payout schedule and typically arrive within a few business days of being processed.
Who pays you, and which tax form you get
This follows the type of work.

For a Scoped Engagement the customer does not issue you an information return, because OnFrontiers reports the amounts it settles. If you do both kinds of work in one year you may receive both forms. That is normal.
OnFrontiers pays you for approved and deemed-approved Scoped Engagement hours whether or not the customer has paid OnFrontiers yet.
Fees on transfers
You are responsible for any payout, currency-conversion, or returned-payment fees on transfers to your connected account, including costs OnFrontiers incurs because of inaccurate or incomplete account information or transfer instructions you provide.
What can hold up payment
Payment is conditioned on your compliance with the Expert Participation Agreement and the Community Standards. OnFrontiers may withhold payment for, or recover amounts already paid for, work affected by a breach of those obligations, such as misrepresenting your credentials or experience, acting dishonestly, or submitting work product that is not your own or that infringes someone else's rights. Before recovering an amount already paid, OnFrontiers gives you written notice of the grounds and a reasonable opportunity to respond. Late delivery on its own is not grounds for withholding or recovering payment.
